Donate to Mirai no Mori and Receive Tax Deduction!

As Mirai no Mori is a certified NPO approved by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, donations to our organization are eligible for tax deductions.

In Japan, about 30,000 children live in care homes because of abuse, neglect, or loss of family support. While these homes provide safety, many children grow up without consistent role models or chances to build confidence and imagine a positive future. Mirai no Mori provides year-round outdoor programs for children, teens, and young adults, offering safe and supportive environments where they can develop the essential life skills needed to make their dreams come true. Your donation helps us expand and enhance these programs, moving us closer to a society where all youth have equal opportunities.

How to Donate

For Japan Residents:

*Donations can be made in Japanese YEN only.

For International Residents:

Donate through Global Giving

*Please note, receipts will be issued by Global Giving and are NOT deductible for donations in Japan. If you wish to receive a tax-deductible receipt from Mirai no Mori, please make your donation via credit card or bank transfer.

How to Receive Deduction

Step 1: Make a Donation

Step 2: Receive Your Receipt

  • Mirai no Mori will issue a receipt for your donation in January of the following year, unless requested earlier.
  • You will need this receipt when filing your final tax return.
  • Please keep your receipt in a safe place, as re-issuing may not always be possible.

Step 3: File a Final Tax Return (確定申告)

  • To apply for donation tax benefits, you must file a final tax return.
  • These benefits cannot be claimed through year-end payroll adjustment (年末調整).

Step 4: Receive the Tax Benefit

  • After submitting your tax return with your donation receipt, you may receive:
    • A refund on your income tax, and/or a deduction on your resident tax (depending on your municipality).

  • $50 / ¥7,500: Covers the cost for one child to join our unforgettable rafting adventure.
  • $100 / ¥15,000 – Funds one skill-building workshop for a high school student.
  • $300 / ¥45,000 – Empowers 20 campers through a transformative stream hike activity at Summer Camp.
  • $500 / ¥75,000 – Transforms a child’s winter by sending one camper to our 2-day Winter Camp.
