Charity Sale: Feel Good Store by KEEN

Location: KEEN Office (13-16 Hachiyamacho Shibuya-ku)

Date: Friday, September 8th: 16:00-20:00 / Saturday, September 9th: 11:00-18:00

KEEN, the shoe brand which sponsors Mirai no Mori, will be holding a charity sale, and donating 50% of the proceeds to Mirai no Mori!

KEEN, a global shoe brand, is based in Portland, Oregon. The company promotes regional assistance programs (in Japan, as well as the USA) that give people the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and that are designed to conserve natural fields, so as to preserve them for future generations. Naoji Takeda, the General Manager of KEEN Japan, supports our organization’s activities by serving as a member of the board of directors, by donating KEEN products and services, and by providing internship opportunities for the high school students participating in our Leaders in Training Program.

Mirai no Mori’s one-year Leaders in Training Program is designed to prepare these high school students to live an independent life in the future. The program includes outdoor activities, the use of English, and international exchange experiences, which are designed to cultivate the students’ ability to flourish in society at large. This year, six high school students are taking part in the program, which involves activities every month, and they are scheduled to complete the program in March 2018. Our leaders-in-training also plan to work as volunteer sales staff during this charity sale.

We would like to invite all our supporters, who already contribute so much to our daily activities, to take advantage of this unique shopping opportunity. We would love to see as many people attend this sale as possible, so please tell your friends and colleagues as well.
