Leader in Training Program 2018 vol. 3 Report
Date: June 9-10, 2018
Location: Mitake
The Back to Nature Program was Hamburger BBQ and a hike along the river. All participants were divided into preparation groups: hamburger, cutting, dessert, and fire.
The lunch was delicious, and we even had a special appearance by nature, a stag gracefully glazing on the other side of the river! It certainly was a magical experience.
The LITs were, of course, a great help. They were assigned to each prep teams and were able to lead the campers and finished their tasks on time. During the hike, they were engaged in conversation with our sponsor volunteers to find out more about what they do.
That evening, we had another special guest chef. This time from moon! We all enjoyed cooking together, only using English, and having delicious cheese fondue. On Sunday, they learned some of the skills and attitude that a good leader should have. We then played a game to improve their communication skills, especially with those who are a bit quiet, like a shy camper. This skill will come in handy in the summer camp, which is only 2 months away!
