Back to Nature
October Back to Nature: Wood Workshop Report
Date: October 21, 2017
Participants: 5 campers, 2 LITs, 14 volunteers, 5 MM staff
Program:
In the middle of this rainy Autumn season, we set out on our Autumn Back to Nature Program on a slightly less rainy day.
In the morning, we made nature art with our four-time sponsors. Creative pieces were made, many of them skillfully utilizing the rain. All the teams presented the name of their pieces using English, showing their energy despite the rain.
The afternoon was the main part of the program, the wood workshop, and in continuation of last year’s chopstick making, this year we made forks. Some worked hard to make their forks very smooth, others used a knife to make the handle fit their hands perfectly, while some transformed their forks into a different tool entirely. It was a wonderful three hours that passed by in the blink of an eye.
Thank you very much to everyone who participated!
